A leading oil & gas transportation and storage provider, partnered with TerraLink to modernize its contract management and business automation capabilities. Through a series of OpenText Content Server upgrades, a migration to OpenText Capture Center, and the development of a contract management proof of concept (PoC), TerraLink optimized the Client’s document management and operational efficiency, enabling smoother workflows and enhanced system stability for over 1,000 users.
Customer Business Challenges
The enterprise faced limitations with its existing document management processes, which were further compounded due to growing operational demands. The outdated systems, including Kofax, created bottlenecks in document capture and processing, leading to inefficiencies and delays in workflows critical to their operations in natural gas, crude oil, and CO₂ transportation services.
Additionally, the legal department was challenged to index and track the variety of contractual agreements. Without an integrated contract management solution, valuable time was spent searching for and confirming the current contract terms posing risks to compliance and operational consistency.
TerraLink’s Contribution
TerraLink delivered a multi-faceted solution, executing several upgrades to OpenText Content Server to improve performance, migrating the Company from Kofax to OpenText Capture Center (OCC) for efficient document capture, and establishing four new automated workflows. TerraLink also provided ongoing support through OpenText Managed Services, ensuring system stability and proactive issue resolution, and delivered a proof of concept for a customized contract management solution.

The upgrade to OpenText Content Server enhanced the Client’s system performance and security, enabling seamless content management. The migration to OCC streamlined document capture processes, reducing manual intervention and optimizing workflows, which directly improved operational efficiencies. TerraLink’s contract management PoC, the Company gained a scalable framework to
manage its complex contracts effectively. The managed services support provided
